Love love loved this book! I first heard about it on tiktok and knew immediately the story was going to grip me - and it did. If it wasn't for sleep, I would have read the entire thing in one sitting. Cannot wait for the next!

The book has a trigger warning that I normally avoid so it made me cry and not feel good, but apart from that, for me, it is perfect.
I loved it. I loved the plot, I loved Pip, I loved Ravi, I loved it❤️❤️❤️

I wouldn’t necessarily suggest this book to anyone, I wouldn’t read it again, but I didn’t totally hate it. The whole premise was so unrealistic, and I don’t know a single public high school in America that would have a capstone project to graduate. There were moments where I was like oooh ok I like where this is going but the author would wrap that storyline up in the next chapter and move on from it entirely. Just overall felt forced and unrealistic.

I really enjoyed this book, I loved reading Pip's production log entries and seeing the different forms of media printed in the book, like the transcripts, the text messages and the emails. Although some of them were quite risky, I think in doing so Pippa was able to investigate the case thoroughly and also uncover the actual killer of Andie Bell
as well as the killer of Sal, lowkey suspected that Elliot was involved in the case but I didn't think he would actually kill Sal!! I was mind blown that he was the older guy and he would something like that to someone his daughter's age!! Like he literally used the car accident (THAT HE READ FROM HIS DAUGHTER'S DIARY????) to literally blackmail Sal's friends into retracting their statements about Sal that could have proven his innocence in order to 'protect' himself and his daughters?? Bro literally traumatised his eldest daughter because of that, and he literally KIDNAPPED a random girl so that he could make himself feel better?? Poor girl was traumatised and lost so many years of her life???
Moving on, I liked being in Pip's head and watching her figure out the connections between everyone involved, and seeing her reveal things to life was actually crazy! Like the case turned in so many directions and I could not even guess
that there were TWO murderers and literally Max literally SAed girls at calamity parties and how Becca fit in the whole equation? Idk what Jason Bell can say about him saying that Andie 'was' instead of 'is', and I wanted Pip to interview him about it
There were so many leads in this case and so many were used in the end, but I also wanted to know more about other leads
like Jason Bell's words and also about the Da Silvas
I'm also so sad that
Becca literally killed Barney, even if she may have 'accidentally' done it but still, why you gotta kidnap her dog?? and literally let him die??
I quite enjoyed seeing Ravi and Pip's friendship blossom and them get closer and also Pip helping Ravi and his family get accepted by the community instead of always being looked down on or being looked at in disgust. I really liked the way that the author wrote the book, instead of it being just Pip going I'm literally so good I can solve it, but instead also having moments where she starts doubting her abilities and whether she should risk it all for her EPQ. Overall, absolutely loved this book and I'm so glad that I own it and can reread it anytime I want. 10/10 would recommend, and will be reading the rest of the trilogy :))
