Listen I know this is a classic or whatever the fuck but honestly this was so so boring. I was fighting for my life to get through it and i’m so glad it’s done. All the characters pissed me off at one point or another. I don’t know if i’ll read the rest of the series maybe just for curiosity’s sake but honestly this was a tough one to get through. I’ll just stick to the movies lmfao

It's a tense story with an easily relatable heroine and a lush setting. The vampire myth is re-imagined, which keeps it fresh. My only problem with it is that I was more than a little tired by the end of the book (a rather thick book at that) of Edward being described as perfect, angelic, gorgeous, perfect, god-like, perfect, beautiful, and so on and so forth. I know the point had to be driven home, but it was almost exhausting.

I love twilight. Team Jacob tho. Also I kinda hate Bella and forgot how much I disliked that woman

I reread it this year, and despite knowing all its problems, I still enjoyed reading it.

2024 review: this was better than when I read it a few years ago, but not necessarily by much. Paramore playing in the background the majority of the time helped. I can see why I was Team Jacob initially (and could be swayed again)
