I absolutely loved the new Young Avengers series, so I really wanted to go back right to the beginning of the YA story and start with the first story!

I didn't know what to expect with this but I really enjoyed it! It's a different set of Young Avengers than I'm used to - Eli Bradley, Cassie Lang, Iron Lad and Vision are there instead of America Chavez, David Allayne and Noh-Varr, so it was interesting to see a slightly different dynamic. It also made the start of YA 2014 make a lot more sense, so that was great!

Both Vol 1 and Vol 2 both had really interesting stories, seeing everyone's back stories in Vol 2 was great, especially Teddy and Eli! I think overall I preferred the arc of Vol 1 to Vol 2, but only by a little bit, they were both really great!

I'm excited to carry on with all the YA arcs - going into their Civil War run next, then onto YA Presents and see where I go from there!

Shoutout to TJ for being my Marvel/Cassie Clare book guru and guiding me through my reading order for those universes! I'd honestly probably be reading random issues without a little help😂
Anyway, I really love teen superhero stories, and this is definitely a standout. I hadn't read the Avengers Disassembled run that comes before this, but I still followed everything smoothly and enjoyed it, save for a couple comments about Vision's past (but I don't care about him so it didn't bother me much?) The teens actually sound like teens (even if they're drawn like twenty year olds lol), and the team that is building up here totally has my interest. I'm SUPER glad Cassie and Kate (💕)joined because the team was a little too "boys club" for my liking at the beginning. I already have the next few issues in hand and am diving into them ASAP!

THIS SERIES IS AMAZING! I'M IN LOVE! This volume alone has made me laugh and cry so I can't wait to read the rest. Also, I am in love with Cassie Lang and Kate Bishop [serious heart eyes].

This is still cute!

I'll always prefer the 2012 run because Patriot was such a d-bag for absolutely no reason. It was compulsive "pigtail pulling" for not reason whatsoever but I'll chalk it up to being a product of this era in comics. I kind of wish Cap and Iron Man had chosen to help train the kids but, in true young adult fashion, the kids rebel by continuing to fight crime without the Avengers permission.

It's a great start and I'm sad Marvel ended the Young Avengers and split all of them up on random teams.

The gay bitches before they were fully allowed to be gay bitches. I love this team so much, they're my heart and soul. This story was so interesting and I love how it dealt with time travel.
