It is a fun short book to read when you are in a mood for fairytales. When Poisons sister is exchanged for a changing by fairies, Poisen goes to the fairy land to receive her. The story starts as you would expect, but is gets better and better the further you come. I like the ending.

The first thing that you notice when you start this book, is the main characters name, Poison. Wooding was very clever in choosing this name, 'cause as a little girl that name had an incredible attraction to me. Poison is different. In the town where she is born people, well they just die. They fall in the water or get attacked by the many monsters that lurk around the lake. The people mourn the deceased, but do nothing to prevent it. They don't move away and life stays the same.

Then rebellious Poison decides to leave. And then a fairy-tale like voyage starts.

I absolutely loved this book. It is very smooth written and doesn't feel childish. Great read for both children and adults with a lot of imagination.

Poison is a depressing, but brave young girl who's parents don't love her. When her little sister is kidnapped by The Phaerie Lord, she decides to get her back.
A good, exciting grim fairy tale which reminded me a lot of the movie Labyrinth.
