A "must have" for the cooking lovers! Are you thinking about creating a new dish but are not sure about the taste could have 2 different ingredients? Here is the answer! Tons of ingredients are listed to make you decide what you could put in the dish! Some couples are really strange! But it looks like they works together, so, why not? :P

Lots of interesting ideas that have got me thinking, very inspired to try some combinations I've never tried before! I can tell this is a passion project and I'm hopeful that returning and flicking through will provide inspiration for years to come. I did think this was going to include more notes on why certain combos work together, stuff like that, more practical information than it always did. A lot of the pairings are just random anecdotes or pop culture references which is fine but doesn't lend itself to returning!

I don't cook nearly as much as I like to, but this is a great resource if for no other reason than to jumpstart some culinary creativity. The entries were hit or miss, sometimes giving thoughtful qualitative comparisons of different flavors or going into historical pairings across cultures. Other times it felt like Segnit couldn't think of what to write for the literal hundreds of combinations she commited herself to writing about so settled for recounting a tangentally related memory instead. Overall: when it's good, it's good, I just wish it were more consistently good.

yes, technically i have finished reading this, but i feel like it’s going to be on the roster forever. The FLAVOURS. the PAIRINGS. The RECIPES. i love that it’s not just description of flavours, it’s examples, it’s recipes, it’s ideas, it’s tips, tricks, books and restaurants to hit up if you travel. She’s funny, smart and honest.
