This book made me cry three different times and it takes a lot to get me. 26 books within three months and this one was the one that tugged my heart strings. This whole series was poetry in its own right, I saved so many quotes because this author just knows how to portray wisdom so beautifully. Tea and Kalen, their romance was so real, it reminded me of very real connections within my own life. Romance series are my favorite but I loved the balance of the adventure, drama, theatrics, connections and darkness this series had to offer. Absolutely beautiful.

Book 3 did indeed make the series better. I'll give it 4 stars, but I've got to admit to being kind of irked by book series in which the first few books really just serve as exposition for the final and overarching plot.
