A very slow-moving book about a quest to find a lost city and a good home for some dragons. I liked the world building. However, I was a bit disappointed by the dragons and their arrogance.

Also, I'd just like to say that I hate Hest, and also hate Sedric nearly as much. One of his main drivers to stay with Alise is the fear of what Hest would do if he returned without her, but then he's planning on trying to make a fortune to convince Hest to leave with him and set up a new life somewhere else without Alise (despite Hest making it clear that he wouldn't want to do that), and there is no mention of what Alise would do in that case, which was very aggravating to me, especially since Sedric is supposed to be Alise's friend. (Also, friends don't sleep with each other's spouses.) I understand Alise's logic and where she is coming from, but I don't think that cheating on Hest, as it's clearly setting up for her to do, is the right answer. She needs to find some way to work things out with Hest/break her marriage contract BEFORE doing anything with Leftrin.

Intriguing enough for me to continue the series, but not an action-packed adventure full of majestic dragons as I was hoping.
