So many sibling books end with - they never fought again. Well, not this one. I appreciated the relationship here.

3.5 stars. At first glance, this is a sibling rivalry story that will feel familiar. I got a kick out of the "adult" or "authority" figure in the story. But I was bothered all the way through that the girl was "evil" but the boy was "brave" when they were both pranking and riling things up. Yes, she usually was the instigator, but that doesn't make her evil. It just didn't sit well with me.

A hilarious siblings book that will guarantee laughter. The Holm siblings have their comedic timing down. It’s a great story about how they need each other; and how they might need some mischief to alleviate the boredom—you know, things that bring them together.

It’s so refreshing to come across a siblings story that isn’t cloying or unrealistic (despite the fantasy elements here). It’s also ripe for a good feminist reading (delightful!).

The Evil Princess vs The Brave Knight is an absolute must, even if the listeners/readers don’t have a sibling. It’s just an entertaining picture book; smart and funny—like its sibling creators.

Kids being mean to each other and not learning a lesson? No thank you.

I wanted to like this but it was just okay. The illustrations were fun, but the story was lacking.

9yo and 6yo brother and sister liked this and wanted to read their respective characters’ parts. Didn’t realize this writing team behind Squish & Babymouse are siblings which is even cooler.
