i felt like maybe the beginning rushed into the story too fast and didnt give me a second to really meet the characters before things started happening but once i had my bearings it got SO good!!

What a ride! I don’t even know where to start without giving spoilers but I’ll try my best.  Armiger Remy is one badass bisexual icon, totally relate to him and the dynamic he has with his father though sadly this is the one thing that made me expect since the beginning of the book many of the reveals that happened towards the end and although it made them slightly less satisfying, they still felt right. As much as I loved Remy, I think by Xioadan is by far my favorite character, her razor sharp deliveries and ridiculously funny insults that fall short of being crass just adds layers to her charm. The book at times does feel like this odd intersection of Buffy, Blade, Castlevania, and fan fiction, but all in the best way possible. This is what action films which they were.
