The book consists of short essays written by multiple authors sharing their personal stories about life in plus sized bodies. Though the topic is an emotional one, this book was very easy for me to pick up and put down when life got busy.
Whether you yourself are plus sized, or you’re curious about looking at someone else’s plus sized life through their eyes, you should read this book. The struggles these authors have gone through, some since childhood, broke my heart in a million ways. I could really empathize with a lot of their stories which is so sad. So many of us are made to think we are unworthy of things like happiness, love, friendship, clothing that fits properly, or an outside that matches the inside; and we are discriminated against simply because of our size.
This is a heavy read but I highly recommend it.
