Rip roaring and flesh rending good fun here. It had a nice twist to the zombie outbreak.

This was a good quarantine read.
It was a bit disjointed, but if you can overlook that, its enjoyable.

I've read a lot of negative reviews of this book, which actually surprises me.
While it's definitely not written in the same anthology style (which is part of what made the first book(s) so enjoyable), I did actually enjoy it, a lot.
The entire book takes place during day one of the outbreak and is told from several different characters' POV - I really did get the impression that they were different characters due to the way the narratives were written - all centering around a hospital.
While I did miss the way the previous books were comprised; with diary entries, police reports, news articles, e-mails etc, I still think the way the story was "divided" with the different characters made it work, and work well.
Yes, the previous book are better, but I still think that this book is worth the read for any zombie aficionado.
