We Can't Keep Meeting Like This centers Quinn, who works with her family business (wedding planning). The previous year, she had a falling out with her close friend Tarek, who's family-owned catering service often worked with her parents in weddings. Lucky for Quinn, Tarek went off to college and maintained zero contact, but unfortunately, he's back - and still hasn't acknowledged the email Quinn sent him before he went to college, professing her love.

I loved the way Quinn was characterized, only really seeking hookups and a quick fuck out of other boys, as well as the fact that she didn't particularly care about the family business or how her parents micromanage her. She finds her escape when she encounters a woman who criticizes her harp playing, then invites her over and shows Quinn how she builds harps.

I like the way Tarek was developed too, from doing grand gestures of romance to learning that not everyone wants that, and some people care more about the little things!

Overall, I loved the book. 4/5.

So romantic! A boy who’s a hopeless romantic and loves grand gestures and a pessimistic girl who no longer believed in love trapped in the wedding planning business. Normally I’m not crazy about friends to lovers trope, but this was written so well. It made me giggle, cry and swoon!! I kept on going back and reading the ending because I absolutely loved it. I also liked how although the romance was a big part of the book, there were also additional plots about the coming of age for the characters, who had flaws, made mistakes, searched for their passion and were navigating life in general. This story was so perfect.

not gonna lie what did i read...... there was zero to NO plot progression and all of the subplots were not resolved, a kindergartener could think of it. and of course they have to have like 2348 different mental and physical issues simultaneously to make them seem relatable
