Matters with the mysterious Professor come to a head in volume 8! The Professor's identity is revealed to the reader in this book, although it's not much of a surprise as to who he really is. It will be more interesting to see how he, Mikado and Hiyakawa respond when they all work out what's going on. Mikado's and Hiyakawa's "relationship" also takes even more turns for the worse, with Hiyakawa still not treating Mikado like a person and Mikado making a decision that devastates Hiyakawa. It's difficult to imagine they're going to figure out how to communicate in the remaining volume!
