Very sweet and easy read BUT it's not my preferred style of book. Some parts were just too slow for me. The main character and her bestie are just like me and my bff so I loved that. The convos felt real. I would recommend this to my friends. I think they would like this.

This was an interesting one. I can’t tell if I was hooked because the writing was good or the drama was messy lol. I think it was a mixture of both, and the author definitely made me sympathize/want to understand the characters who did questionable things. The descriptions of food and the island were very vivid, and I liked the side characters as well! I feel like they complemented the themes the author was trying to convey through the main characters in a way that was more removed and rational.

It took me a bit to get into it but once I did I fell in love. The story is so beautifully written and it makes your heart ache for the main character.

I was having a decent time with the book. I didn’t like the direction it took but I was still liking the writing and the other elements of the story. Then that direction it took got heated and It gave me the ick. I DNFed 58% in. First DNF in years, but I tried I really did. It just is a no for me.
