I won this book in a giveaway I am so thankful that I did.

Whilst Christmas in Peachtree Bluff has your usual Christmas novel themes - family, laughter, love, snow, the magic of the season - it’s also not your typical Christmas story.

You have the added suspense of whether they will outrun a late hurricane, will the picturesque town of Peachtree Bluff stay standing, and could a southern lady such as (hurricane) Pearl really ruin Christmas for this small town Georgia community.

If you love books about family drama mixed with the intensity of late season hurricanes, residents of an idealistic town believing it won’t actually hit them, an appearance by Jim Cantore, the lengths people of small towns will go to for each other and the magic of the most wonderful time of the year, then this book is for you!

I can honestly say I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and I hope you all go and buy a copy of when it's released on Oct 26!

Do not repeat my mistake by picking this up without reading the previous books in this series - this is one of the ones you cannot get away with not reading all of them. It is context heavy for the previous three, and due to my lack of knowledge of this family of women, I struggled to keep track of which one was which half the time despite the chapters being labelled. It was all in the details.

Now this novel is good if you're not a festive person, as the Christmas atmosphere is light. Light to where if you want to binge all of the books - I'd say go ahead and read this one right along with them, since it being set during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays changes nothing.

As I lacked the investment in this family that this novel requires, I can't say too much about it when it comes to the plotlines. Although I will revisit this after I get the opportunity to read the other three.

This was the first book I have ever read for the Peachtree bluff series and I loved it. This family is truly one of a kind and I loved how supportive but real they were with each other. Felt like a real family for a change, and not something that was just having drama to have drama, but instead had real problems and mishaps that they were addressing and dealing with together.

Christmas in Peachtree Bluff follows the Murphy family as they get ready for Christmas, and while they all have big plans, those plans end up changing quickly due to a hurricane of the century happening.

Overall I loved this book. I loved seeing all the different pov's from all the different Murphy women and the lives they had created. For the first time ever I didn't have a favorite, and I loved all of them equally and enjoyed seeing what would happen in their lives next as they all lived such different lives. The fact that this was set around Christmas made the book even better, as we saw the entire family come together to rebuild and spend time with one another.

While this is the third or fourth book in the series I didn't feel like I was missing anything with having not read the first books in the series. I was able to jump right in and just read what the family was doing now and enjoy it. Having said that though I do think I will be going back and starting the series from the beginning because of how much I enjoyed reading about them.

I have not read any of the prior novels in this series. Which I don't truly believe that you have to have read the prior books but in my case, I think it might have helped some. This is because I really struggled to connect on an emotional or personal level with any of the characters in the story. Therefore, I found what probably should have been a fairly quick read to be a very, slow one for me. While, I struggled with this book; underneath I did see some things I did like. So, I would go back and pick up book one to get to know everyone and the town better.

3.5 - A big-hearted multi-generational Southern holiday story full of strong women and second chances. The Murphy women have all come home for the holidays to their beloved town of Peachtree Bluff but with a hurricane looming and lives in turmoil things are about to get messy. When disaster strikes there's nothing like family and good friends to band together and help rebuild.

Great on audio with a full cast of narrators for each of the characters. And while this was part of a series it also worked as a standalone with enough backstory to keep new readers in the loop. Overall a perfectly enjoyable, feel-good, Hallmark movie style story perfect for fans of Debbie Macomber or Jill Shalvis.

I absolutely love, love, love the Peachtree Bluff series. And I love reading Christmas holiday books this time of year. Well, Kristy has combined two of my biggest bookish loves into a fabulous Christmas story centered around the Murphy family—a family I became enamored with from the very first book in this series.

There is plenty of drama in Peachtree Bluff as a hurricane is making it way inland and everyone is being asked to evacuate. Not everyone is able to leave and those who end up having to stay spend several intense days getting through the worst of it. The Murphy family pulls together once again, supporting each other the best that they can, even though its not always easy. So much drama, so much love.

I also loved all the holiday traditions that are such a big part of Peachtree Bluff. Even after the "storm of the century" threatens their beautiful town, everyone pulls together to celebrate and keep all of those age-old traditions alive. That was such a wonderful part of the story and made me wish I could be there for all of the celebrating. It filled me with such joy!

Christmas in Peachtree Bluff is a story that I highly recommend! If you love Southern fiction then this would be perfect for you. This whole series is amazing. And then, if you also love reading Christmas stories, this is a definite must-read. It combines both of those elements exquisitely!
