I've read many of the "new cannon" books, and this was probably my least favorite. It was just okay... The "cool" factor of a story narrated from Luke's perspective quickly wore off. Taking place between Ep IV-V Luke is particularly whiny here. This book makes me thankful for public libraries, so I'm not spending my hard-earned cash on disappointing audiobooks.

Solid book. Nothing amazing, nothing bad. Just a good fun story with some hilarious moments.

I'm not a Star Wars mega fan, but I had a great time with this read. For fans whose love only extends to the original trilogy, I found the story easy to follow. There was no need to buy a hundred other books to connect with this one. It was great to read a book written by an obvious fan, and Hearne's charm and wit are more present than ever. Loved it!

Solid Star Wars book. I liked getting to see Luke's inner monologue. Not ground breaking but it was entertaining. Enjoyable experience for a Star Wars fan
