I could not pick this book down to hear how the story unfolded. This book is tense and shares the reality of the dark history reflected within the current Native American experience. Incredible audio production with multiple narrators reading the different characters’ stories.

This book was absolutely wonderful.

The fragmented novel style, the way all the characters are separate and yet intimately connected, accurately reflects the fragmentation that Native American cultures have had to endure for centuries. I read it cover to cover, unable to put it down.

Every chapter/character felt like a short story. I enjoyed how the characters were slowly woven together. I can’t wait to read Wandering Stars!

I really struggled with keeping all the characters straight and spent a lot of time flipping back and forth to remind myself. It was thought provoking and eye opening and I enjoyed most of the book.
