such an odd book honestly. i liked the oddness. the book revolves too much around sex for me and after mentions of incest and pedofilia i had to cut.

technically a 3.5 that i'm just bumping up because i had fun and the homophobia hit too close to home sometimes
Whole book's basically a journey through the life and various sexcapades of Molly Bolt, lesbian Mary Sue. Comes across as kind of episodic given that each lover kind of just comes (lol) and goes without all that much complexity. Also, it was a product of its time, so wow is a lot of the stuff in this book dated and Problematicâ„¢. (Imagine chatting with a 16-year-old on the sexual merits of incest. YEAH.) (HAHA SPEAKING OF INCEST. YEAH. Y'ALL JUST NEED TO FIND OUT.) Nevertheless, it was still an engaging story and although it did make me grateful how much we've grown on the queer front, oh boy plenty of the homophobia is still relevant to THIS day, almost half a century later. Also, lesbians being lesbians. Lots of it, in this book. That alone earns points for me.

Personally, I loved this book. The main character is so cool and witty. However, did not like the incest suggestion :(
