I really enjoyed this collection. It's a collection of classic dog and cat stories that have been adapted into comic form. The results are pretty great. :-)

I started with the Feline Classics, which were very (and in some cases very) creepy. I couldn't tell you which of them I liked best, partly because I read this earlier this week and my memory is awful, but mostly because they were all really good, very enjoyable, and I can't pick out just one to call a favorite. You can read more in my status updates below this review, where I tried to write a few words on each story/adaptation.

After finishing the Feline Classics, I moved on to the Canine Classics. The Canine ones weren't nearly as chilling as the Feline ones. (Heartbreaking, yes; chilling, not so much.) A few of them made me sort of mad, though, because of the way they ended for the dog.

The one Canine story that sticks out in my mind (not a favorite, though; definitely not a favorite) is "The Honest Hunter and His Faithful Dog." In this one, the
"honest hunter" kills "his faithful dog," the hunter commits suicide, the guy who was caring for the dog in the hunter's absence commits suicide, the hunter's wife commits suicide, and the other guy's wife commits suicide.
:'( So...memorable. And sad, very sad. Though I have to say that I was most saddened by
the dog's death
.

As with the Feline Classics, you can read more about how I felt about the Canine Classics in my below status updates. I tried to write a few words about each story/adaptation.

Usually, I'll share what I wrote in my status updates in my review, expanding on those thoughts to form a review. But with this book there were just too many stories and, honestly, I don't feel like rewriting and expanding on all of those thoughts. So if you want to know more, scroll down and read my 18 status updates. ;-)
