Great story… The new narrator (Luke Daniels) did not give a great performance. His voices are bad and especially compared to the original narrator (Vikas Adam) plus they are completely different so it’s hard to remember which character is speaking at times.

Story - 4.5
Narration - 2.25

A good way to end the series that was two books too long.

I really hope this series is done.

Eh....it isn't like the "reveals" of this entry should really be a surprise to anyone reading the other books. Still, generally good, but the references are likewise getting more obvious and intrusive. Absolute no sequiturs for the characters in the story. Takes me right out of it.

(As always a review for the whole series)
The concept is somewhat weird but one gets used to it very quickly. The characters are interesting, dimensional and fleshed out. There is a lot of grey area and nothing is really black and white. The worldbuilding is interesting and at least for me something I haden't read. It's funny and tense and a little bit crazy, at the beginning a bit slower storywise but it picked up quickly. I definitely enjoyed the ride. Unique, quirky, funny and a little bit sinister.

“The savior of all of our peoples,… The Divine Dungeon.”

The series peaked at the 3rd book and kept going downhill over the next couple of books. I somewhat liked how he wrapped it up but the entire book felt rushed and there were many loose points. It’s ok. Chalk it up to authors not knowing when to stop writing and let the story naturally end.

time travel shenanigans were too much of a turn off. Also the scale increased too much too quickly for me
