A fun, jaunty read. My feeble brain had a hard time keeping up with the various names. Agatha Christie is the GOAT.

My first book by Agatha Christie. Although I sometimes watch Poirot on TV, I can't say I knew what to expect from her book, especially because watching movie and reading book is a totally different experience.
And to be said, I liked this novel. I just hoped I would like it more.
That doesn't mean the book was bad, no, it was a very good read indeed. It was just for my personal taste too short and rushed, and sometimes it was just a little bit confusing.

My friend told me to read this - I loved the newest adaptation so I thought why not.
The reason I rated it 3 stars - I even wanted 2 was just because I didn't enjoy it. Not because it wasn't brilliant.
I realized listening to the audiobook that a mystery such as this one is different than seeing a visual adaptation.
I found I couldn't hold onto all the details needed to try to figure out the mystery the way I did with the movie (and even with the newest adaptation of Dearh in the Nile which I figured out very early on).
I couldn't just have this on in the background while I was working or anything else like I really had to pay attention and concentrate which was difficult.
Again this is just my personal take on the audiobook and not reading the book itself.
