I think this was the final straw for me on so-called "erotica." Admittedly, I wanted to understand the genre from multiple angles. I've read a bit here and there—and probably more than I should admit—but I find them lacking in any kind of substance. If I wanted to actually engage porn, there are a whole lot of viable alternatives that don't offend my literary sensibilities. But to pretend these kinds of books have an resemblance or connection to a reading experience would be the lowest kind of delusion possible. I can't even bring myself to give it a rating.
