The power of love is amazing and everlasting! I am so glad that Kallik was able to learn that and pull it with her through the final battle with Rubezhal.
Sacrifice means nothing without someone to sacrifice for, and Kallik of No House, previously an orphan twice over has learned that the hard way in this final battle to save all Fae. Hyacinth, her best friend since the orphanage has never willingly allowed her to go it alone and this book is no different. She’s a fierce character in her own right and yet at times she is the softest shoulder that a new queen could need. Faolan finally bucks up and becomes the man he needs to be, not as the regent of the unseelie, but as Lugh’s grandson and Alli’s equal! I’m so happy Rowan and Devon redeemed themselves as well. The entire cast is so well rounded.
This series has been a wild but entertaining ride. The world building is on point, the characters are relatable and amazing.
So worth the read

I can't believe that this is the end

I'm quite upset that this is the last book on the series, but I can't wait to read more about what will happen in the new series in the same universe that will have some crossovers.

It's time for Alli to take up the mantle and be the queen of all fae although she's not really fond of her new position. With the last battle approaching, Alli and Faelan need to decide if they are willing to sacrifice everything to protect each other and the people they love. What they had to give up really broke my heart

What a ride I was taken on in this book! Shannon and Kelly did an amazing job of creating to perfect recipe to bring out every emotion. You will die with laughter, feel the anger of the battlefield, cry from the loss and perils, and rejoice in the love that knows no bounds. Cinth would be so proud of the concoction they have created. I don't want to say too much as to give anything away but don't let this series sit in your TBR. I'll be over here in the know, judging that you haven't gotten to enjoy all that this has to offer. Also I saw what you did there Kelly

I feel like this third installment wasn’t as engaging as the first two. I was continually enjoyed with main character and could predict the next scene.

A crown unwanted, A forbidden love and a war that is about to turn a world upside down. Can a newly crowned queen save her people and the love of her life without losing her own life?

This entire series is fantastic! I read this book over night and of course was exhausted the next day, but so worth it.
The characters are well developed, the story moves at a great pace with enough twists to pull you in and keep you turning the pages. The ending was perfect and I hope leads to a new story line with some of the other characters.
Kallik is now queen of both Seelie and Unseelie Fae not something that she is comfortable with. She has set Faolan up as her regent in the Unseelie palace while she stayed in the Seelie palace at least until she could figure out a way to join the two courts.
Neither Faolan or Kallik wanted their positions as leaders but the Oracle had declared Kallik queen of both courts so there was nothing she or anyone else could do about it.
When Kallik is called to deal with a deadly adversary she must use everything that she has ever learned every skill she was taught and find a strength that she did not know she possessed in order to save her people, her love and ensure a safe happy future for those she loves.
The oracle makes a return and of course plays an important roll in this book. Kallik and Faolan face Rubezahl the Fae that they all thought Queen Elisavanna had locked away in Underhill.
In order to keep humans safe and to stay at peace with them Kallik and Faolan must get Rubezahl back to Underhill where they can fight his army out of sight of the humans. Even though they know that he is stronger in Underhill than anywhere else.
I can not say much more without giving away things in this book, but I can say that many of our favorite characters return and we get to meet a new kind of Fae and a few new characters.
Did I mention the dragon? No? Well, there is an actual dragon in this one. Just read it, you will love it. I do suggest that you start with the first book in the series A Court of Honey and Ash.

Whew! What a finish! This series was full of twists and turns. Full of love and friendship and fighting for what’s right and being loyal to family. Alli and Lan- where to even begin. Their individual character growth was so fulfilling to see, but even more was their relationship for each other and what they were willing to sacrifice.
This was a fabulous fantasy world created by two writing goddesses.
I am so excited to see they will be writing more in this world!

I really liked the previous two books of this series, but found this one to be dull and redundant. Too many lame twists that overlapped each other. Not enough romantic tension between the main characters. I struggled to get through it and it’s not even long! I read the new crescent city faster than I read this book— and it’s 3x as long!

Disappointed
