Cute romcom type, where friendship was the main focus! Discusses a few hard hitting topics well and the illustrations were beautiful!

I read this this morning and I've already forgotten most of it. What I will say is that I enjoyed the pop culture references (especially the reference to Rogue and Gambit, and the appearance of Crowley and Aziraphale), but everything else was very much 'meh'. The characters were pretty 2d, and the discussion around abusive relationships was skimmed over quite a lot, when it should have been a lot longer.
TW for physical and emotional abusive relationships, overbearing parents, mentions of sex, emotionally abusive parents.

“Most people go the online dating route. You’ve chosen to go the non-dating route. A true trailblazer. Now hand over your phone so I can judge your taste in fake men.”
- Virtually Yours
Tropes: Fake Dating, Internet Dating, Texting, Former Child Star, Secret Identity
Representation: POC, LGBTQ+ Side Character
CW: Divorce, Domestic Abuse
I loved the premise of the fake internet boyfriend. Although there is romance, the main focus is on the friendship/found family vibes. My only wish is that there was more concrete resolution for the romantic plot. The ending was quite abrupt. However, this was still a cute and quick read.

Such a cute read! Graphics were so beautiful. I just felt like the story needed more, especially in terms of Max and Eva's "relationship." Overall, I enjoyed it.

Online fake dating? What could go wrong?
Cute, art style is great. Loved the diversity and I loved the Rogue and Gambit comparison in middle. Eva with overbearing mother who wants grandkids while Eva wants to put her career first, I can relate. Max was complex, sad, lonely character you wanted to have a happy ending.
