Probably my least favorite in the series, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t like it. The longer format gave the plot more time to breathe, but I actually think that hurt it in the long run. With all the extra space to fill, there were long stretches of time that meandered, and didn’t really push the plot forward. In those spaces, we got to know and understand the characters on a deeper level, which was nice! But the extra time also meant the story took unnecessary turns, and some of them turned out to be dead ends. Overall, I love these characters and Wells’ writing style, and even though not everything in this full-length installment landed, I enjoyed the ride.

The return of a certain beloved character deserved a full length novel, and we got it!
So much fun to see different character's paths converging, and get enough of a page count to read a more involved adventure. Another great read in this series!
