Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a wonderful book in the Harry Potter franchise. Rowling continues her superb storytelling - a style that that captivates me every single chapter.

We also get the opportunity to see more character development and learn essential backstories. While much of the character and backstory reveals center around Volemort, we also get the see the students continue to grow, mature, and struggle through the challenges of being 16 years old.

Overall, Half-Blood Prince is a charming book in the franchise that is heartbreaking, heartwarming, and coming-of-age.

I want a whole book about Voldemort!!! He's awesome

On another note, this book was bad. As in the characters, the plot, the logic... everything was lacking.
If it wasn't an HP book, it wouldn't have had such high ratings. And the ending was fast paced, action packed, heart wrenching ,as usual, it almost made me forget how awful everything else was. And don't even get me started on how the relationships were handled!
The only saving grace is the memories about Voldemort.

I guess reading this series at 15 or at 30 makes all the difference..

I really liked this book, though it is not my favorite in the series.
Many of the characters annoyed me a lot…
Even though there were A LOT I did actually enjoy the “normal teenage drama” - it was great to see them actually be 16!
