Thank you to Lisa for letting me take part in this blog tour. We met Emery and Dean in Bayside Desires and I knew then that there was something between these two.

Since Christmas, at the end of Bayside Desires, Dean and Emery have spoken pretty much every day. Whether it be a text,a telephone call or a video-chat most it had become unusual for a day to go by without them having some communication. When Emery moves to Wellfleet the sexual  tension between the two finally starts to bubble over.

Emery is a whirlwind of a girl who only knows how to speak her mind. She blows in scattering her stuff here there and everywhere but for Dean the sight of her stuff just fills his heart. After months of getting to know Emery, Dean knows there's no one else he'd rather have creating chaos in his life.

Dean is strong but sensitive. He's the kind of man that makes you feel safe by just being in his presence. It' also quite obvious he will do anything for those that he loves.

As always Melissa has created brilliant characters that you can't help but root for and a bunch of side characters that you are dying to get to know more. Violet was my favourite and  I cannot wait for her book. I also loved Rose and her friends. Rose is a very determined lady and her friends are hilarious. I can imagine when I'm old that me and my friends will be just like Rose and her friends.

This book has some big laughs but also some surprises up its sleeve that I didn't see coming.  Dean and Emery are a perfect match and I can't wait to see who Melissa creates for us next.

Emery and Dean had chemistry from the beginning and only one of them was fighting it. Emery was afraid of dating a friend because she had it go poorly before and Dean had become one of her best friends. It took a lot of convincing, but once Dean broke down her walls everything fell into place. There were a couple of road blocks, and they had to work through them as a couple. Their story was a good one and I definitely recommend reading it. I actually want to go back and read Des’ story now, but it’s not necessary to enjoy this book.

Two words – book hangover.

This book was beautiful. I loved the deep friendship Emery and Dean had right from the start of the book. And Emery was such a unique character. She’s a wild, free spirit who speaks her mind and doesn’t sugar coat things. She also doesn’t really think before she does stuff, which I found comical at times. And Dean! Right from the first time you get in his head, you see that he is already falling for Emery, who thinks they are only friends.

It was one great big courtship. He takes her on “example outings”, not real dates because she doesn’t want to date friends. And everything about Dean’s outings is incredibly romantic. Not to mention, as her best friend, he gets her. He knows what makes her tick, what she’s scared of, and what makes her happy. He also accepts her for her, unlike many of the guys she’s already dated.

There’s one tiny hitch. Emery thinks she’s broken. She thinks that, because of her parents’ failed relationship, she breaks all relationships she’s in and therefore is destined to be alone. I absolutely love how she’s not perfect. And Dean’s issues with his father make him not perfect, too. Two imperfect people made the best love story!

This was a perfect read to warm me up on a cold day. Emery is moving to gain a fresh start and be near her long time bestie, Desiree, and her best guy friend, Dean. With Emery in close proximity, Dean is ready to convince her that they would be perfect together.

I love that the story started out with the main characters as very close friends. I felt a connection with the main characters right away. Dean is a handsome guy that will make you swoon and wish he was yours. I think Emery would be a cool friend to have in real life. I really enjoyed this fun friends to lovers story.

Emery is a yogi and back care specialist, who has decided to leave what is familiar and start over in a town where she met some new friends that she has clicked with. If it weren't for her new close friends, she wouldn't have the opportunity to start over in a new place and build herself.
Dean has a green thumb and has turned his passion into his career as a landscaper who loves his new friendship with Emery. His friends are his family to him, but there's something with Emery. He loves talking with her and knows that she feels the same way, but Emery is stubborn because of her past. Dean doesn't want to push to her to push her away, so he needs to tread carefully and creatively.
Starting over is always difficult, but what an adventure when you are moving to a town where the friends you consider family lives. There is always that fear about crossing over the friendship line, but they do always say that the best relationships are built on friendship. So can we give Emery any wrong for being torn about pursuing a relationship with Dean, her best friend? Love can be scary, and Foster, as always, takes us on a breathtaking journey from friendship to much much more.

I can't believe this was my first Melissa Foster book. Where the heck have I been? Sweet and sexy with an engaging cast of characters. It’s an inviting read with a swoon worthy hero. Truly wonderful!

Dean and Emery coming together was so fantastic. It was light, fun, and witty, drawing me in. I loved seeing their friendship grow into more. I loved their struggles and personal battles as they come together. Emery had such a great personality, she was a spitfire. I loved watching her blinders come off when it came to Dean. And Dean? Oh my! Sweet and sexy! I adored him. I loved how open and caring he was, so strong and confident. Their playful connection made for some really entertaining moments, I loved their conversations and the easy flow of them being together. They had fantastic chemistry and I love how that built. I had so much anticipation for them to truly connect.

There are great secondary stories happening with both Emery and Dean that I enjoyed as well. I liked how they were their for each other during those trials. There is a tremendous cast of inviting characters introduced making you want to become a part of their world. This made me want to read other stories and series the author has written, it was so enticing.

The writing was excellent. There was great character development for Dean and Emery and I felt like they really came alive. The story was so inviting, really pulling me in as I got to know the characters and where they live in. I couldn't get enough, I was excited while reading and invested.

This was just an entertaining read. Sweet, fun, romantic and sexy and filled with love and hope. I love being pulled in to a new world! I see reading more Melissa Foster in my future.

Gotta say Melissa fosters Love in bloom series is one of my favorites. This book encompasses everything I love about Melissa’s stories. I love how dean knows what he wants from the beginning and isn’t afraid of his feelings. Another amazing book

ARC received for an honest review

I have not read the first book in the Bayside Summer series, however this did not affect my enjoyment of Bayside Passions at all.

I liked that our lovelies already knew each other well when the story starts (I assume it was all set up in the first book in the series). I liked that they could dive right into their friendship and more.

I freaking adore Dean. He is all kinds of swoonworthy and I was ready to scream at my kindle that if Emery didn't want him I would have him).

Now Emery - ugh, she frustrated me so much. I couldn't connect, and even at the end of the book I still didn't like her. I don't know exactly what it was, but nope, couldn't handle her at all.

Which made it had for me to get right into the story. And I hated that.

Don't get me wrong, I liked the story line, I liked the main man and I liked the other characters in the book, but my dislike of our leading lady took me out of the story.

And that has never happened to me with a Melissa Foster book.

It is probably just a case of "it's not you, it's me" with this one.

I do look forward to going back and reading the first book, and look forward to what Ms Foster brings us next.

Emery is impulsive. The prototypical flighty yoga teacher. That's why she's decided to move to her new job a week ahead of time. And she'll stop off at her buddy Dean's house to pee because she isn't able to get to her friend Desiree's. Dean's her best guy friend, someone she'd never sleep with because she's keeping him as friend.
Dean is not okay with being in the friend zone. But he's using it as an excuse to get closer to Emery (ew, ew, ew). And he's an alpha hole. Like, really. I finished this book but he skeeved me.
