Milena McKay is simply a beautiful writer of characters and stories. This novella was no different. Abby and Sabine were thrown together weirdly at their cupid convention, (yes, they ARE cupids) and the sparks begin, although subdued at first.
If there is one thing I know to expect from MM, it's incredible writing of beautifully descriptive characters.

I had seen Milena McKay's books pop up on my Goodreads feed for a few months and finally decided to give her a try. When I saw that she had a Valentine themed novella, I grabbed it as I thought it would be a good introduction to her writing and let me see if I enjoyed her stuff as much as everyone else seemed to.
Unfortunately, for me, this was not a perfect match. This has an interesting and original premise and is definitely tongue in cheek; but, I had a hard time connecting to the characters and the writing in this one, and almost felt that it was a bit too tongue in cheek.
Despite this one falling a bit flat for me, I did pick her other her books. I absolutely adored Ms McKay's first novel, The Delicate Things We Make, and have her second novel queued up on my Kindle.

What a fun read this was. It also had something interesting to say about letting go and moving on.

Cute angsty little novella
I really loved this, it was cute, angsty and sexy. I wish it was longer because I would have loved to have seen more of this universe.

This was really cute and fun. I love the bits of mythology and Greek gods we got peppered in there too.
