Wow this book really blew me away! The writing was fast paced and action packed which is what I love! Although it wasn't the "on the edge of your seat" action it was still nicely done.

It was a very entertaining book with some nice characters but I feel like some were fleshed out more than others.
I loved Joey's humour and I really wished to see Avani and Joey at least kiss cause I definitely shipped them.
As with I feel like Miranda and Kase weren't done as well as the other characters so I didn't know them that well.
Sarah was a badass and went through a lot of tough shit and STILL survived.

The romance was light and at the start you could definitely tell who she was going to fall for but it was good none the less.

Sometimes I felt like the speech was a bit all over the place and didn't flow and I wish the ending scene wasn't so rushed.

I also found the key ingredient for the "cure" very predictable and sometimes I felt like it wasn't very realistic.

But over all a great read that left me wanting more of the amazingly described action scenes, a book that definitely deserves more credit.

Ok I was so excited for this book, but it felt rushed. I feel if there was one more book we could have explored the characters and Corpus more. I felt like the ending was satisfying for the characters but not for the overall looming question that is Corpus Labs. There is another book in this universe and two novellas, hopefully I can get my hands on them in the future.

Big insta-love vibes and I really didn’t connect with any of the characters; they all felt very one-dimensional to me. I saw a lot of reviewers say Vitro was their least favorite Corpus book, but Kalahari has to be mine between the two (I haven’t read Vitro, and I’m not planning to).

I love Jessica Khoury's writing and this storyline/world she has created is amazing. But unlike Origin and Vitro, which I raved about and was so obsessed with reading and absorbed into the whole adventure, I felt like Kalahari missed the mark just a tiny bit. Maybe I didn't connect with Sarah as a narrator as much as I did with Pia or Sophie and Lux. I definitely didn't feel that much of a connection between Sarah and Sam (her love interest). The twists and experiments of Corpus continue in this novel, and the silver animals were super interesting, as was seeing how Sarah's mom had stumbled upon what was going on before her death. This was still a really good read and I did enjoy the book, just not as much as the first two.

I totally given this five stars, but one thing stopped me from doing so; there was too much going on. Very seldom do I come across book so abundant with different plot lines. I could've done with s few less in this one, though. First off, there was a dead mother, then a lost father and friend, and then some mysterious experiments and kids stranded in the desert. Maybe the plot lines could have converged nicely and cleanly, if they weren't strung out so long. I felt that this book could've been a hundred pages shorter, if only the stories weren't so drawn out. That being said, I enjoyed the set up of the book, and found it overall pleasing. It was extremely different from anything I have ever read, and I adored that. I'll definitely be reading more of Jessica Khoury's work.

Sarah is not overly happy when she sees who the 5 kids from the states are as they get off the plane for their African adventure. Having grown up in very remote places all over the world, Sarah knows that the Kalahari desert is not the place to have
accidents happen. But when her dad fails to come back after a call about poachers, she must either risk leaving this groups of kids alone in a place they have know idea how to survive or rise taking them with her to find her father and having them alert the poachers about their whereabouts.
Kalahari is an action packed, fast paced adventure, with great characters and breath taking descriptions of the vast African landscape.
