OMG. I loved this book. I didn't think I'd enjoy Carolina book because when u read about her with Drew in previous book she comes across as a hard hearted cow but secretly she a huge crush and hurt feelings for Drew. Drew is lovely and helps Carolina out so much with her fashion show. Great story and HEA.

When fashion designer Carolina Preston is in need of the perfect male to promote her designs, Drew Hogan becomes a top pick. But can the two get past their one memorable night from back in college? Can they keep their attraction separate from her creations? Or will the creations become so much more when they are on the body of the hot hockey player? Another great addition to the series. I love how each individual book catches the readers attention and only makes them want more.

I almost DNFed this -- not that I don't like this author, but it's incredibly repetitive at this point. I thought the end was OK, and overall it was a quick enjoyable read, but unless the next one in the series is substantially different, I might keep this permanently in the library-check-out pile.

This latest book in the Play by Play series is fantastic. This time the story centers around Carolina, the sister of Gray Preston who is the main character in book 6, and Drew, her loved from afar as he was her brother's friend until a fateful evening in college. Even though the night or rather the morning after didn't meet Carolina's hopes she is trying her best to put it behind her.

Carolina is in the last minute preparation stage for Fashion Week and doing her best, and then some, to make sure her designs are noticed. Drew is going to model Carolina's line of clothing for her. Being around Drew causes Carolina to remember all those feelings she had thought were in the past. Can they forge a new relationship? Is Carolina willing to put her heart on the line again?

Fantastic!

Another great novel in the fun, sexy Play by Play series from Jaci Burton. Carolina has had a crush on her older brother’s best friend, Drew, for years. She worked up the courage to seduce him in college but after he walked away from their one night stand, she’s been a little angry. Years later she’s on the verge of launching her new fashion line and Drew is the perfect face for her men’s line. Drew has been working hard over the years and has dedicated his life to his professional hockey career. He’s always been attracted to Carolina but has never felt it was the right time to start any kind of relationship. Taking the opportunity to work close with her, he plans to fit in a little seduction with ever fitting. I really enjoyed the chemistry between them and how their relationship grew. Two professionals trying to make a relationship work when they both are extremely driven, and busy. Great mix of smexiness and emotional growth. Great read!

2.5 boring, predictable stars

This book was tedious. It felt like it was never going to end. There was no chemistry between the two protagonists, Carolina - a fashion designer and Drew - an ice hockey player. There is not much happening in this book. And yet it's such a long book. There are lots of sex scenes. LOTS! But even those became tedious.

The writing wasn't bad, it's just that the characters and the plot were lacking.

I really liked this one. I loved the characters and the way they interacted, and I really loved that it didn't feel like the same story as the rest of the series.
