I had high hopes for this one because I LOVED Three Strikes and You’re Mine. It didn’t disappoint. I still very much liked these characters. But, I did not like it as much.

I’ve read so many romance novels in the past month that they are all bleeding together so I can’t remember right off hand why this one wasn’t as good as the first

⚾️Insta love
⚾️Brothers team mate
⚾️ MLB Hottie
⚾️ Sassy Nurse
⚾️ Fun group of friends

This was such an enjoyable read. It was quick and light. It has been a hot minute since I read a baseball romance and it reminded me how much I actually do love them. We follow Tate and Grant after they meet at a party for the first time not realizing who each other is. Once it is figured out that she is his team captains little sister, things get interesting.

Even though things are very heated the first time they meet, prepare yourself for a SLOW BURN. However, I did not mind one bit. The chemistry between Tate and Grant was great. Learning how to navigate through their situation and finding their way together was so sweet. Tate is so high strung and control freak, has the same routine for everything and Grant really helps push her out of her shell.

Lets not forget the side characters in this book. I loved them almost as much as the main characters and I am for sure holding out hope for two certain people to have their own stories.

Overall - I did really enjoy this book. It was sweet, cute, low spice but when it hit it is was good.

Thank you @valentine_pr_ for the arc to review this book.

A sports romance where the ballplayer falls for his teammate’s little sister. When Tate and Grant meet for the first time it’s both sizzling hot and hilarious. Perfect strangers who quickly learn the next day the other person is completely off limits.

I enjoyed watching Grant and Tate orbit around each other. Grant hanging out with the guys in her group of friends was a testament to his patience and determination because she continually tried his patience.

I found Tate’s life plan crazy rigid for a 20-something living in the big city. She was stubborn and determined which had helped her achieve professional success as a pediatric cardiology ICU nurse, but wasn’t doing any wonders for her personal life.

I enjoyed the slow burn of their relationship, but was really hoping to experience more on the page once they officially became a couple. We had elaborate and descriptive scenes where these two were orbiting each other, but minimal scenes of them as a couple. The storyline advances and skips forward months into the future which I appreciated; however, I would have really liked to see more of how they got to that point.

I received a free ARC from the author and Valentine PR; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.
