I really enjoyed this unique lil' chapbook. Michelle Peñaloza asked Seattle residents to walk with her to a place where their heart was broken. The resulting poems are gorgeous odes to places and people, people that the author may never know but people that her companions are deeply tied. I had no idea what the book was since I picked it off our coffee table where a housemate had left it and it was honestly the most pleasant surprise all week. Peñaloza successfully captures the ways that heartbreak is devastating but it also provides a new start. There is hope. Really gorgeous series of poems. Highly recommend for anybody looking for some good break up poems or anyway looking for site specific art.
