Ranking the Big Picture at 3 stars, the League of Assassins wrap-up that for some reason is here instead of vol 4 is still a solid 4-4/5 stars.

A nice side story for the Outlaws. Roy gets accidentally kidnapped by aliens, who work for Lobo, who is trying to destroy Earth just because. Jason and Starfire work to catch up to the ship, take on Lobo, save the Earth, no big deal. Fluff and fun with some good Roy moments using his genius, and showing Starfire as a powerhouse.

Other volumes were better than this collection. The stories themselves were fine, but the organization threw you off a bit -- therefore, I only rated it two.

This collection was very Arsenal-centric, the least interesting character in my opinion, so that's where the low rating comes from. Also, the sudden shift from fantasy to sci-fi was kind of abrupt, but that was a consequence from the way this volume was compiled. Writing and art, however, were pretty decent.

A mixed bag if standalones including solo outings for Roy & Starfire. The beginning with Ra's was cool, but I'm deducting a star for Lobo.

I like this series, I do. But this volume was not a good representation of it. There were some good moments. But mostly, this book was just okay.

The whole showdown with Ra's was so shounen anime I facepalmed during reading it.

The Big Picture: of course Roy gets kidnapped to space with their ship. Of course he does.
