One of my favorites. It shares some of the secrets of living a joyful life.

Most people in life reach a point in life where they must move forward or die emotionally and spiritually. The catalyst for moving forward can be a person or place, but it still requires a leap of faith and risking your heart.

Lovely!!! Very atmospheric, would definitely recommend reading this in spring! You can smell the flowers described and feel the warmth of the Italian sun! The characters are so lovable and whilst flawed (they are women in the 1920’s), the character development was charming. I want to go to this place!! A lovely little atmospheric book, no plot just vibes, perfect for spring!

3.5 Stars! Fun little book about a group of women who go on holiday in Italy for a month. It has wonderful passages sprinkled throughout like this one that made me smile at their wit.

“The War finished Scrap. It killed the one man she felt safe with whom she would’ve married. And it finally disgusted her with love. Since then she had been embittered. She was struggling as angrily in the sweet stuff of life as a wasp got caught in honey. Just as desperately did she try to unstick her wings.”
