This is probably one of my favorite Clique books so far. While most of the books had the problem totally resolved in the end (or mostly), this one left it open. Out of all of them, I as most excited to see what happened in the next book after this one. I also like how they used a lot more pop culture references in their similes and metaphors and in general speaking. Overall, it kept my attention, kept my guessing and I really liked it.

Everyone acting like LBRs except Massie is so uncalled for! How is an Alpha to rule if her followers don’t know how to properly follow?
Can’t wait to see where this next one goes.

Crying score: nah

12/25/18 4/5 a turning point
05/17/21 truly a turning point. I really liked seeing from Kristen and Dylan’s perspectives. I missed Claire honestly. Dune and Derrington are underrated.

This by far has been my favourite book of the series Massie coming to terms with maturity, changes in her life and friendships but also realizing how she shouldn’t trap herself in a role or change who she is to keep others around.
Lisa did an incredible job displaying Massie’s change and growth in this book but also keeping her the same melodramatic diva she’s always been “Certain that people who lost their friends were expected to sob uncontrollably and that if she did, the PC would sense her despair and stampede toward her with open arms. But no matter how many times she pictured Bean getting hit by an SUV, her eyes refused to cooperate” I laughed out loud and thought that’s Massie that’s exactly who she is and I loved it it shows that although she’s growing and becoming more confident with who she is alone she also has those moments of falling back into her old patterns I’m really interested to see how she handles in the next book and now that the pretty committee has completely foiled down to Claire & Massie how that will change the dynamic going forward - Great read and I can’t wait to burn through the next book of the series!

so in this book Massie like a no longer LBR, buuut there is someone else that likes him too! Kristen's secret friend ; Lainey; also has a major crush on him. They both want him and tell kristen to hook them up with him! now Kristen only wants for her crush Dune to arrive from the beach but is also torn between her friends.
meanwhile Massie likes a new crush, she doesn't want to let "derrington" go.
Now Dylan gets a major crush on Massie's ex and it turns out that he also likes her back
!
The PC makes me crack up with all their lame comebacks.
is up to Massie to regain control of her friends or she be friendless by the end of the course. love this middle-school series.
cant wait until the newt book of this series!!!

This was definately one of the best in the series. I was actually sad for Massie at the end and I really want to know what happens next. I can't wait for the next book.
