Loved how fast-paced and engaging it was because it had me flipping the pages so fast.
But plot-wise, I thought it was a bit lacking. I loved the initial confusion about which sister was the sane one and the subsequent change of allegiance from Alex to Ruth, but the main issue I had was that Alex lacked motive. I get that her childhood was traumatic (Pim’s death) and that was why she grew up in Child Protection Services trying to save children but why did she push Pim into the grain truck in the first place? Was she just mentally ill? It didn’t really make sense to me.
The context was perfectly established and all my questions answered but I feel like the plot itself could have done with a bit more oomph.
