This book takes the Starman Saga to a whole new level above book 1. The idea of an asteroid on course for earth is pretty much a sci-fi cliché at this point, but the authors put several fascinating new spins on the premise. First, there's the question of the main villain's true plan and purpose, which adds mystery and intrigue to the mix. But the biggest and best surprise is the nature of the asteroid itself. There are countless science fiction mysteries to be uncovered within this seemingly plain rock in space. An ancient alien mystery that will be explored, but not fully resolved in this book.

While book 1 was a mostly standalone "pilot" to the series, book 2 kicks the ongoing story into high gear. The book introduces a new status quo into the world, with the promise of much more to come. Adventure, heroism, and sense of wonder all await you in the pages of this story.

More than ever I'm ready to follow this series to its conclusion.
