I can’t say enough good about this book! It kept me engaged from the first page to the last. The author has a true skill at world building: the post-apocalyptic world is absolutely fascinating. The heroine is interesting and likable. And the romance! Steamy scenes throughout. The hero is literally an alpha male and super hot. The tender moments were perfect as well. The book is fast-paced with plenty of action. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in shifter romance or post-apocalyptic romance. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The world is split into walled cities with people using a drug to make sure they don’t shift living in them and those who do shift living outside. When Eden, the female lead and a doctor, needs to go to another city, Rurik, the male lead, is her shifter protector. Then she goes into heat and he claims her. But she wants to be more than his mate…

This long novella is dual POV, well written, and an interesting premise. I enjoyed the characters and their interactions, the relationship development, and the steamy sex scenes. I felt there was enough to make the story longer but I enjoyed it a lot.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book was a great paranormal romance. The MMC was the alpha I was hoping for, and the FMC was not a meek quiet damsel. I enjoyed their dynamic and the plot. The only reason I gave 4/5 (I would say 4.5) is the ending felt a little rushed and left me wanting to know more. There were questions/plot left unanswered.
