Haunting and hunting Adeline draw in a very specific type of personality trait. The fascination one needs to have with danger intertwines with morbid intimacy. Almost like a trauma bond. This book will either shut you down and you will not finish (DNF) or it will pull you in and engulf all those bits and pieces of you that you will never let anyone see. The pieces that you might be ashamed to even think about, let alone let someone else know. This book has been able to bring the people together that have chasms containing these dark pieces within themselves. They can empathize with one another over the trauma of a fictitious character. I hope that nobody ever goes through the things that Adeline goes through, but I know someone out there probably has. Overall, I felt like this book was very well written. I loved reading it, and I love the things it made me thing/feel. I've even thought about doing a re-read.
