I’m glad she made the right decision at the end.
I’m just upset that she spent the whole book saying that she felt she didn’t have a personality or that she was heard because other people were controlling her life, just for her sister to come and practically tell her what she had to do at the end. Did she opened Ellen’s eyes about the situation? Yes. At the same time I just feel that she kind of made the decision for her and Ellen just followed suit.
Obviously, points off the whole premise of cheating on your husband.

💭 T H O U G H T S
I've read several Emily Giffin books in the past, and enjoyed them. Not the case this time around. I thought it had lots of potential, but the unlikeable cast and lack of character depth made it feel as though nothing actually happened. The writing was decent, but I didn't care about or feel sympathetic towards Ellen at any point, which was why I didn't end up enjoying the story.
Overall, this wasn't a good fit for me. Emily Giffin has better options out there, so I'd suggest skipping this one and starting elsewhere.
