Beautiful illustrations along with easily understood information about numbers. Very engaging book to share with children. My preschoolers love it and the other books in this series.

A great addition to author Hena Khan and illustrator Mehrdokht Amini's concept picture book series. This one has got such a nostalgic quality to it and it's by far my favorite cover color scheme.

Excellent introduction into Muslim culture using numbers. I appreciated the authors note of using concrete examples as opposed to abstract concepts. Kiddos will appreciate that.
However, I do not care for the illustrations at all. They are too cartoonish/claymation-esque for my liking.

I really enjoyed reading this! However, it is my pet peeve when a rhyming book doesn't keep its rhythm, and this book did that many times. It jars me right out of the text.

A nice counting book that includes concepts from Islam. This would be a good counting book for Muslim families, and the terms are pretty easy to figure out what they mean from context for families who are not Muslim. A glossary in the back defines the Muslim terms.

A counting concept book companion to the other picture books
Crescent Moons and Pointed Minarets (shapes) and
Golden Domes and Silver Lanterns (colors).
