**I received a copy of Hot Nights in Morocco from Entangled Publishing and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. The opinions below were not solicited in any way.**

Hot Nights in Morocco by Catherine Wiltcher the author is a new one to me but I tell you this book had everything angst, betrayal, childhood trauma (Charlie) awesome snarky conversation between Charlie and I just loved Lucy her BFF who is "The roots to her wings" and doesn't hesitate to tell you that reality is overrated. Oh did I mention hot off the charts sex between Jake and Charlie, yep it has that too.

Charlotte "Charlie" Winters is a freelance assistant to Max Dalton but its Jake Dalton who will rule her heart and soul even when she'll finally reveal her PTSD from her childhood. This story will take you from London, Morocco, LA and everything in between all while both Jake and she figure out if what they have will last.

Jake Dalton wants several things the movie to come under budget and on time, to hopefully convince the board that he should be the head of it and Charlie Winters. But when he has both his brother Max as producer, a mecurial lead actress that can throw a tantrum a 2-year-old would envy and of course sleep her way to the top of the studio. But first he needs to figure out how to convince Charlie that they're temporary but when that becomes not enough can her convince her to stay?

I'm a huge fan of this author's work, which is normally deliciously dark and twisted. When I decided to read this book knowing it wasn't in the category as her previous work, I wasn't sure what to expect. But this book was a pleasure to read. I loved the witty banter between Charlie and jake. The way they bounced off each other with snarky comments was brilliant. The whole experience was well well written, keeping me entertained throughout. All the characters seemed to link in together seamlessly. A truly great read.

This had the potential to be so much better if only there was a little more devoted to both Charlie's and Jake's past. They both experience heartbreak at the hands of their parents and it shaped them and affects their relationship with each other. Parts seemed rushed, but I thought the chemistry and angst was good.

Hot Nights In Morocco is a steamy, summer, hollywood esque romance.

this was by no means my favourite romance ever, but it was a quick and mindless read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
The chemistry, angst and smut was really good, and even though the plot was very far fetched and unbelievable in some places, it felt like pure escapism. There was some nice fluff, but it also had a darker undertone because of the plotline about both characters pasts. I think the sideplot could have been good, but it seemed to be sorted out very quickly, and I didn't really see the full ramifications of it.

Overall, this was a fun and fast romance that I would recommend to people looking for a smutty read but with a bit of a plot too.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book!

This is a fabulous book. Whilst not entirely revolutionary in its plot, it kept me hooked to the point where I was up until 3:30am desperately devouring it so that I could know what happened next. It kept me thoroughly enraptured until I'd finished with it, and then truthfully stuck with me beyond that point too.

It is the first book of the year to actually very, very nearly make me cry. I felt the emotion of the characters in such a raw, intense way that it took over my entire being and almost left me a blubbering mess! That, for me, is the sign of an amazing story. When I feel the emotions of the characters so boldly that I simply cannot avoid them, I know it's been a good book.

It was extremely well written with brilliant characters, excellent steam and some really intense storylines. It is a great mixture of fluff, smut and drama and it's blended together to make a thoroughly satisfying story that allowed me to escape from reality for the duration of reading. I really did enjoy it and would recommend it to anyone who is intrigued by the premise! I was extremely pleasantly surprised by this book, and will definitely be checking out something else by this author!

Rated 4 stars simply because I felt the resolution was completed too quickly. It didn't feel like it was totally finished and that more could've happened between the characters. I truthfully didn't entirely believe that everything was fixed - and a few more pages could've fixed that.

Trigger warnings for: abuse (emotional and physical), gun violence, death.
