damn in agatha christie got me again. i dont know how she manages to surprise me with every book she write
i cannot believe jospehine was the killer all along. like she literally was the last person i suspected. i was so convinced it was edith by the end of it but instead she just wanted to sacrifice herself?? honestly a queen
literally the book is charles just being "so when do you wanna get married" "are we gonna get married" "lets solve this mystery so i can finally marry you"

I guess I never added this book when I read it years ago.
With some mystery novels, eventually you forget whodunnit. You can reread and it'll be fresh because it wasn't that memorable the first time around.
This is not that book.
You'll remember.

I finished this book at 4:47 AM last night and it was such a holy shit moment for me. I remember being mandated to read "And Then There Were None" (probably the most famous if not one of the most famous of Agatha Christie's works) for summer reading in middle school and I ended up really enjoying the story. Then I also read "Murder on the Orient Express" a few years ago and loved that too. I love romance, but I was in the mood for a mystery. I chose to find something Agatha Christie this didn't disappoint!

This is the third Agatha Christie book I've read and I loved it!! It kept me interested and she's so good at making multiple characters seem possibly suspicious that you just can't help but want to continue reading to find out who the actual murderer is. I really liked how she kept us on our toes, especially past the halfway mark of the book that's where all the twists and turns really began taking flight I think. The characters were also pretty fleshed out and I like how they were all pretty distinct. In the start it might be a bit confusing with so many members of the Leonides household and there's people outside of it too, but as you read more you grasp the idea of whose who and what possible "motive" one may have for murder.

I say this was such a holy shit moment for me bc maybe it could just be that I really am dumb but I really did not see the end coming. Everything came to make sense though, well played Agatha, well played... plus Charles was being played by the culprit too
