Not bad... Slightly underwhelmed with the story and characters. Som confusion with the story. Otis coming of age so that could be why.

As with all of O'Malley's work, the art is simplistic and beautiful.

Ouch. I really felt this one. Don’t wanna get into it on here because this is a public space, but man I can relate. And friends are good to have. I miss my friends. So much. Glad I found this gem at the thrift store. 5 stars.

I sort of liked O'Malley's Seconds and Scott Pilgrim, especially the art, I do like his art. So I sort of liked this book. Raleigh is on a weird road trip with acquaintances. She's an introvert. They're not. Mostly she lives in her head, which is useful for finding out why they're in the car in the first place. She's sad. Broken hearted. At one point she decides a cat stole her soul so they all try look for the cat. And then it ends.

I think love is stupid and I can't relate to angsty young adults. So the point of this book was lost on me. But it was pretty. And there were cats. So that's something.

I didn't like this book, in fact I got a "nice" burning headache because of it. It felt like the story went nowhere, if anything I thought the MC was a whiny, crazy girl who couldn't stop yapping about stuff. Art + road trip + that other female character were OK. But sorry, books that hurt my head = a big no no. Also that ending that just didn't end anything. :\

NOT recommended.
