So good but my heart hurts right now. The writing in this book is evidently flawless. No stone was left unturned and the emotions you feel from Evie are realistically brutal. I fell like the last 50-75 pages I was here and I don’t know how to function right now. I feel empty and heavy at the same time. I loved this book, the adventure, the betrayal, the heartache. Everything flowed with explicable care. Check your Tws on this.

Dead of Eve by @pamgodwin is one of my very favorite books. I was introduced to this series by none other than, Mickey at @theinfinitereader.blog. Let me tell you, she would not stop hounding me until I finished book two, Blood of Eve. Lol. (I mean that in the best way possible with as much love as possible). And I am so incredibly happy that she did.
When I say this book broke my heart, I mean it. @pamgodwin is the queen of dark romance and making you fall in love with these dark, somewhat taboo stories. This one is no different.
Now y'all, not only is this a dark romance, it's weird AF too. Lol. Weird in the best way, if that makes any sense. I found myself visualizing the story as it happened. The characters in the book completely captivated my attention and made me fall in love with them.
@Pamgodwin made me feel every possible emotion throughout this book. She will rip your heart out, step on it a few times, and put it back. There were so many times I found myself with my jaw to the floor while reading this. I am so happy that @theinfinitereader.blog FORCED me to read this series because it's one of my favorites of all time!
Do yourself a favor and read it! I think you'll love it! Just be prepared for the weird. Lol.

So far this has been my favourite book I’ve read this year. I’m not even mad about the ending, I cried the whole time and I just really, really loved this book. I’m definitely going to read the last book because I want to know what happens, so I’ll hopefully get to it soon! I put this off for so long in fear of its length, but I honestly flew through it, never wanted to put it down and had to force myself to go do things I needed to do lol. I don’t think I’ll ever forget this one honestly.

Evie now has a purpose. A task that only she can do along with the help of her three guardians. Using her blood as the cure, they’ll set out on a journey to find the nymphs, the half-turned females that have survived, back into human form in hopes that they can begin to re-populate the country. But it isn’t going to be easy. Not only are they still fighting the aphids along with their maker (the egotistical zealot), but she’s also battling her guardians. As their love has grown and intensified with each step they take, their jealousy (for lack of a better word) has grown into a big brick wall separating them.

Evie has really come into her own in this story. She’s recognized her position in this war, and is accepting of it. And I just gotta say that I love the men around her. I love how they all provide something different for her, and how they live to fight alongside her. Because truly, she’s the strongest one, and they love that. Can I say, YAAAS QUEEN?? And there’s still so much to do. It’s daunting, thinking about her situation. How much she has to actually do to save the world, and how strong she is for taking on that uphill battle. I won’t say much more because it hasn’t been easy to not give anything away in what I’m writing here. I will say that I really loved getting outside of Evie’s head a little bit as the first book focused all in her POV. The erotic nature kicked up a notch, too, which was great. I’m greatly looking forward to seeing what happens next, and where Ms. Godwin can take Evie and this new world.

I'm going to make a voodoo doll with Pam Godwin's face on it. The shit this woman has put me through is unforgivable. Yes, the book was amazing but I cannot continue. I wanted smut and ended up with HEARTBREAK. Laughing and crying and throwing my Kindle across the room when it really doesn't deserve the malice. This is not a lighthearted series. This series will break you and beat you down. That's how good it is. 5/5 devastating stars.

I cried a lot with this book. It was a burden on my heart. Although everything was a perfect book, you are a great writer and knew how to balance everything in perfect order. I loved!

I have no clue how to classify this series as it’s in a league all it’s own.
Dystopian, post-apocalyptic, some romance, Kinda reverse-harem but it is so far advanced from the usual ones I’ve read previously and it is very slow burn and takes the time to build the bond for all involved here.
Some horror, plenty of action and a whole lot of love and connection.

This is an epic unpredictable journey one that doesn’t pull it’s punches and will probably rip your heart clean out of your chest and then stamp all over it.
It was so bloody intense and the curing of the nymphs is actually the easy part here as things elsewhere slowly start to unravel.
Events start to seriously snowball and this one is gonna get worse before it gets better.

There’s Michio unknown evolution and the Drone’s intentions regarding Evie resulting in Michio taking drastic solo action with potentially far-reaching consequences for all.
There is just so much going on here and this second book was even better than it’s predecessor if that’s even possible.

This was also incredibly emotive and beautifully filthy as Evie finally gets to consummate her bond with Jessie and Rourke finally lets go of his guilt and takes things to the next level.

My god those scenes were red hot and the chemistry major explosive.
I also really appreciated how Rourke, Jessie and Michio were all so very different each with their own unique personalities and little quirks.

The way this manages to build the tension progressing slowly and eventually culminating in such a deep and lasting bond.
I also adored all the character dynamics here and especially loved Jessie and Rourke’s bond together.

So this took me through a whole gauntlet of emotions running through the complete spectrum of light to dark.
It was truly unpredictable and my heart was in my mouth throughout.
This one keeps you on the edge of your seat poised for the fallout.

The priest is still my all-time favourite he’s bloody hilarious and has absolutely no filter and his accent and unique turns of phrase are the absolute bomb.
His running commentary managed to pull things back from the brink and inject some much-needed light-heartedness into the mix especially when things go sideways and get so darkish and bleak.

Then that finale my god I am broken this book digs deep and claws forth the emotion I had tears running down my face by the finish of this.
What an ending, think I’m gonna need a wee break before I jump into the final book that and some bravery I’m literally scared where this might venture next.
I need to get my head back on straight after running that gauntlet.
What a journey I’m literally destroyed and a bloody mess even a day later.
Brilliant but oh so heart wrenching and bring the tissues you're gonna need them.
