The first book had far much more action and drama. This felt more mellow in comparison, but still good.

I could not get over the continued conflict with no resolution in sight. The concept of this series is great, but the continued, same, I resolved conflict was not worth finishing this book for me.

its funny how all the ships in the first book are sinking and the new ones are all sailing lol but i dont mind tho, i'm on all of it especially beatrice. her romantic plot and chapters are still my favorite.

its still very entertaining however, i feel like the second book is slightly lack of some. i dont like how the author making some of the main characters are kinda black and white like its too stiff and and honestly, annoying. i wish they are more complex so its more realistic and driven. im talking about nina the im-not-like-other-girls; daphne the true evil like nothing good in her ever; the boring jeff like he is gorgeous and then nothing; and lastly the selfcentered brat samantha. UGH.

cant wait to read the 3rd book!!

If you like royals and lots of drama, this may be the book for you. I was happy when the book ended. I do like how strong Beatrice and Sam become by the end of the book. By the end of the book I really liked Teddy and wished he had a little more say in his life but understood why things happened the way they did.
