the concept was really good, but it wasn't developed nearly enough.
It's a relatively easy but different way to approach a complicated topic (social responsibility and the importance of history). Still, I would've enjoyed it more if it had explored more in-depth the psychology behind the allure of these kinds of ideologies and how these situations build up. I think it would have been more "educative" if, before delving into the practical experiment, the historical aspects had been studied and explained more.
The ending was a nice way to quickly tidy things up but, once again it felt too oversimplified. However, the shock value came through ( "you traded your freedom for what you said was equality. But you turned your equality into superiority" and "yes, you all would have made good nazis" is something I'll be mulling over for a while) and I think it made sure that the message will stay with the reader for a while and that's the most, and only, important point of this book.

P:S on a practical note, I found the style a little too simple, and sometimes scenes and thought processes felt a bit "stuffy" and unrealistic
