Kept itself interesting by a good mystery (even if I already knew the answer) and the appearance of a new villain every issue, my one gripe is that the actual reveal was kind of disappointing, the death of Thomas was really anticlimactic to the point of me thinking that it wasn’t really the ending of the book, and the moment where they info dump the motivations of everyone could’ve been better, if two of your villains’ motivation is money you should rethink it, and the motivation of Thomas is still kind of unclear, I think he had cancer and because of that riddler reached out to him but he said he didn’t wasn’t a cure so I don’t know why he worked with him, and I don’t know if the i killed my parents because I wanted their money think was true but, if it was, what was that?

Very predictable. I knew who the villain was in the first issue, I could tell because of his face shape. So the whole time I was telling myself, "it's him... it's him... it's him... he's not really dead that was faked... it's him... that's a red herring... ha knew it". His motivations were a little nonsensical, and the plot wasn't the best, but the flashbacks were great (and beautiful). We also got to see Tim, and a variety of other characters. The art was polished and dynamic.

4.5 rated down because all the fan service aged it, but the overall story is still good. The last bit with batcat still hits just as strong.

A stellar story with amazing art. This one would've been an easy 5-star read were it not for the ending, which feels extremely rushed in comparison to the level of storytelling leading up to the final pages. I can see why this is considered one of the must-read Batman arcs.

The story is mid and writing was so lazy to me but the art was good.

As everybody can notice I have had no time to read since a few months, and is gonna be like that for a few months more. It's something that doesn't bother me because I'm enjoying greatly my life at the moment. I've plainly of things to do and new people to meet. But I've been struggling to find something to read in the few free moments that I have, so I decided to read some comics. Short and easy, I can finish them in few hours.
Unfortunately I didn't start well: hoping to find something original I didn't get surprised or impressed. Still, I love Batman and his world and I'm sure that I just have to try again.
