I loved the first one!!!
This sequel however, was unnecessary :s It kept explaining the other side of Jess/Antanasia which was all vulnerable and crazy for Lucius. It was nuts!

But from the middle 'till the end, the book was really good, as a new tension came a long and vampirism started to show again ;D

I can't wait for the next one!

So, what happened in this short-story? Well, first Jessi-...Antanasia said she wasn't ready to get married. We’re off to a good start, aren’t we? I always thought that marriage meant ACCEPTANCE. Something was really off when she agreed to wed in the end of Jessica’s guide to dating in the dark side. Yeah, that kinda pissed me off.

Other thing that got on my nerves: she wouldn’t shut about the “next day will be the best day of my live!” There was so much dialogue and narrative that was useless. This short-story was too big of a story and most of it didn’t matter!

But, to be fair, I liked the ritual in itself. It was kind of nice to see the commitment Antanasia was getting into.

Well, putting all of that aside, it’s kind of nice that the author used her blog to ask her fans what they wanted to see during the wedding. Not all of writers have the decency to talk and interact with their readers. Kudos to you, Fantaskey.

If you are willing to get past forty-five pages of moaning, I think you can get a good story out of it.

I would have liked more of Lucius's point of view.

This was a cute little surprise as a sequel to the first book. It is a brief story that is available to read for free on the author's website. At the end of the book I was wondering what happened after "the end" with Jessica and Lucius. This shorter story was lacking the humor, flair, and spirit of the book. Nonetheless, it was still a fun read. Books always leave me wondering about what happens after they end. I appreciate Beth Fantaskey providing an answer.

I found this short novella here: http://www.bethfantaskey.com/wedding/wedding-chapt1.html

Oh my, what fun! I'm so glad the author gave us a peak into this festive and fun affair. The strange customs, the odd exchanged - even Lucius giving her one more chance.

Ugh, it was all so wonderful.

I can't wait to read book 2

This short story went over the events leading up to wedding, and the wedding itself. The location, the ceremonies, and the dress (loved the dress) were all described in detail, with a picture of the dress included. Mindy, Jessica's best friend since childhood, steps up and despite some of the traditions, is still the perfect maid of honor. Wish we could of found out more about her and Lucius' best man!
