I didn't connect with it at all. There was nothing that stood out to me, no memorable lines or imagery, and it felt slow to read. There is a 40+ page long poem where the book gets its name. It comprises the whole 2nd half of the book and that's impressive as well as more engaging than the 1st half which is to the book's merit but not quite enough for me to rate it 3 stars.
